Raworth Distance Learning

Virtually all of our students have come to study at Raworth because they want to change their life style or career path.

The age and background of students varies tremendously, but we have designed our programmes to take this into account. This applies to distance learning programmes as much as to classroom based ones.

There are many reasons for choosing a distance learning programme:

• You can avoid travel to a classroom setting
  
• You can pace your speed and level of learning to fit exactly with your own personal circumstances
  
• You can slot programmes or modules into your schedule after they have been completed by classroom attendance. You can therefore 'catch up' with a yearly programme, without having to wait for the next academic year.
  
• You will have direct individual contact with your personal tutor, by phone or email
  
• You will receive detailed notes and all assessments at the beginning of your programme
  
• You can attend any classroom based sessions at no extra charge. Sometimes students do this, by agreement with the tutor, because they want extra visual help with a topic or because they are particularly interested in the topic.

Pathophysiology
Here we teach the mechanisms of disease and signs and symptoms associated with clinical conditions commonly encountered by complementary therapists. Medical terminology is demystified and a basic insight into clinical investigations and hospital laboratory testing is provided, enabling you to liaise confidently and effectively with other health care professionals.

Aromatherapy essential oil sciences
This is the first stage of aromatherapy training where you will gain a detailed knowledge of essential oil therapeutics, sciences and blending.

This first aid certificate of homeopathy covers the history, the Law of Similars, vital energy, constitutional types, common physical ailments, influences of mind-body approaches, major first aid remedies, potency, remedies for selected situations, precautions against antidoting, suppression and the theory of Miasmas.
